Privacy notice

Lunentra's data habits: what is gathered, why, and the switches you control.

Data controller

The controller is Ruffin Companies.

Information gathered

  • Network address (IP) and the rough town or region it points to.
  • The user-agent string your browser sends: software, version, device type.
  • Page views and outbound clicks, only once you allow analytics.
  • Anything you write to us by email: name, address, message text.
  • Your cookie setting, kept in local storage.

Purposes and legal grounds

  • Operating and protecting lunentra - legitimate interest.
  • Analytics showing which pages help readers - consent.
  • Marketing and affiliate attribution, letting referral partners credit bookings - consent.
  • Answering correspondence - legitimate interest, or measures taken at your request.

Recipients

Our web host handles data for us, as does an analytics vendor once you have agreed. Accept advertising cookies and click through to a hotel, and affiliate networks, partner networks and that hotel's reservation engine may learn the visit came from lunentra. Contact-form details are never sold.

Data leaving your country

A few vendors keep data on US servers or in other regions; lunentra relies on mechanisms like standard contractual clauses wherever these are legally needed.

Retention periods

Raw server logs are deleted within 90 days. Analytics data is reduced to totals within 14 months. Emails are held for two years after the last exchange unless a legal claim requires longer.

Your rights in the EU and UK

Readers protected by GDPR or UK GDPR hold a set of levers: obtain a copy of whatever lunentra keeps, demand corrections, request erasure, ask us to freeze or stop particular processing, receive a portable export, and cancel consent at any moment. Your national privacy watchdog also accepts complaints.

California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Californians covered by CCPA/CPRA can ask lunentra to disclose, delete or correct what it holds, and can forbid us from selling it or handing it on for cross-site ad targeting. Switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser and lunentra reads it as that opt-out, keeping advertising cookies off. Asking for any of this costs you nothing and changes nothing about your access.

Minors

lunentra addresses grown-up travellers (18+). Should a younger person's information reach us, tell us and it will be erased.

Changes

We will post any update here and change the date. Last revised 15 October 2026.
